EchoFind ("the app", "we") is a Bluetooth device finder that helps you locate nearby Bluetooth devices — earbuds, watches, speakers, trackers and more — by measuring their signal strength on your device. This policy explains what the app accesses and how it is handled.
Bluetooth data. The app scans for nearby Bluetooth and Bluetooth Low Energy devices and reads their signal strength (RSSI) and any name the device broadcasts. This is processed in real time on your device to show you how close each device is. It is never transmitted off your device and is not stored after you close the app.
Location permission. Android requires location permission to perform Bluetooth scanning. The app uses this permission solely to enable Bluetooth discovery. EchoFind does not collect, store, log, or transmit your geographic location. No GPS coordinates leave your device.
On-device preferences. Your settings (vibration, sound, scan sensitivity) and app usage counters are stored locally on your device using Android's standard local storage. You can erase all of this at any time from the in-app Privacy screen ("Delete all my local data").
None. EchoFind has no backend server, requires no sign-up, and does not use third-party analytics or advertising trackers. No personal data is collected, transmitted, or shared with anyone.
EchoFind offers an optional one-time in-app purchase ("Pro"). Payments are processed entirely by Google Play. We do not receive or store your payment details. Google's handling of that transaction is governed by the Google Privacy Policy.
EchoFind is a general-utility app and is not directed at children under 13. It does not knowingly collect any data from children.
Because all data stays on your device, uninstalling the app permanently deletes everything associated with it. You can also clear all locally stored data at any time from the app's Privacy screen.
If this policy changes, the "Last updated" date above will be revised.
